The international Business Department was established with the aim of implementing the Rosatom strategy for the globalisation and promotion of Russian nuclear technology in the global marketplace. As a subdivision of Rosatom the department conducts strategic planning (updating the road map for the construction of NPPs overseas, as well as approving the strategies of divisions working in the international business field) and ensuring the creation of a portfolio of overseas orders and initiatives in terms of global expansion for Rosatom. In addition, the department’s responsibilities include the governance of regional Rosatom businesses, and the management of Rosatom’s global presence in foreign countries. 

The Department offers methodological support to assist with the activities of other Rosatom subdivisions and divisions in the international business arena, as well as providing functional and economic appraisals of the proposed projects.
