The Public Council of ROSATOM invites to take part in the VIII-the Regional Forum-Dialogue «70 years of Russian atom. National interests, ecology, safety» to be held in Chelyabinsk on June 10-11. 2015
 
The Chelyabinsk region was selected as the Forum site not occasionally. The national nuclear industry will celebrate the 70-th anniversary in 2015. Here, at the enterprises of Ozyorsk, Snezhinsk, Trekhgorniy (Chelyabinsk region), Novouralsk and Lesnoy (Sverdlov region), the nuclear weapon potential was being created and maintained, which ensured the country security from the external hazards for decades. The Chelyabinsk region is the leader in the number of nuclear cities and one of the most important regions of presence for State Corporation Rosatom. Nowadays the Urals enterprises also engaged in implementation of the projects beyond the military area. In particular, the availability of high level civil nuclear technologies allowed starting implementation of the biggest nuclear medicine cluster in the country on the basis of Snezhinsk and Chelyabinsk facilities.
 
The Forum-dialogue is expected to host over 200 delegates. The participants include representatives of federal and regional authorities, top managers of nuclear industry companies, representatives of environmental and public organizations, journalists and bloggers.
 
The main topics of the Forum will be development of national nuclear industry in the context of national interests, environment protection in nuclear area; regional aspects of nuclear industry development and safety, social and economic development in the areas of Rosatom presence, mechanisms of effective dialogue between Rosatom enterprises and general public. The Forum organizers include Public Council of ROSATOM, Russian Ecological Congress, Green Cross, Non-governmental Environmental Foundation named after V.I. Vernadskiy.
