The VII Regional Public Dialogue-Forum “Nuclear Productions, Society, Safety – 2014” will be held on the premises of the Scientific Library of the Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk on November 13-14. The forum is organized by the Public Council of ROSATOM. The forum is held in Krasnoyarsk Territory for the first time and takes the full account of features of the region, which is of strategic significance for Russia’s nuclear industry.
 
The event program includes featured sessions: “Environmental safety of Krasnoyarsk Territory”, “Nuclear power and weapons atom – safety of Russia”, “Innovative solutions of the nuclear industry and future development of territories” and other. The sessions will be attended by representatives of the Federation Council of Russia, the State Duma of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Public Council of ROSATOM, the North-West Branch of the Nuclear Society of Russia, the Saint-Petersburg non-governmental environmental and legal center Bellona, the Nuclear Safety Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Sysin Research Institute of Human Ecology and Environmental Hygiene of the Ministry of Public Health of Russia, non-governmental and environmental organizations, as well as ROSATOM’s companies (Rosenergoatom, Mining and Chemical Combine (MCC), NIIAR, RosRAO, RADON etc.).
 
The focus will be on the section on development of innovative clusters of the nuclear industry. The section is planned to discuss priority areas of nuclear technology development (nuclear medicine, small power generation and other), the role of nuclear cities as nodes of the country’s innovative development and building sectoral technological platforms, regional features of establishing innovative clusters of the nuclear industry (in particular, interaction with private businesses). Aleksey Golubev, the President of the Association of the “Closed” Cities of Russia and Mayor of the “closed” city of Sarov, and Alexander Tuzov, the Deputy Director of Innovations Management and Head of the Technology Development Office of ROSATOM, are expected to address the section.
 
A technical tour for the general public representatives to MCC (Zheleznogorsk) is also planned.
