Tatiana Elfimova

Background

Tatiana Elfimova was born on July 30, 1959 in Moscow. In 1981, she graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in Chemistry, and received a degree in Finance and Loan Management from the Innovation Management Academy in 1997. Ms Elfimova holds a PhD in Chemistry and is an associate professor at the Information System Academy. Her academic career includes over 10 years at the Moscow Aviation University where she worked as a research assistant and then associate professor. In 1997, Ms Elfimova joined the Russian Ministry of Energy as Deputy Director of the Budget and Finance Directorate. In 2000–2005, she served in the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative to the Volga Federal District, first as Head of the Information Analysis Department and then as Deputy Head of the Administrative Directorate and Assistant to the Plenipotentiary Representative. In 2005, Ms Elfimova joined the Federal Agency for Atomic Energy as Advisor to the Agency's Director and was promoted to the position of Deputy Director in 2006. Since May 2008, she has served as Deputy CEO of ROSATOM and State Secretary.
