Oleg Kryukov

Background

Oleg Kryukov was born in 1954 in Kireevsk, Tula Region. After graduating from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 1977, he began his career at a local engineering plant in Tula and in 1980 moved to Elektrostal in the Moscow Region. There he first served as a supervisor and then as Production Manager at the Machine Building Plant in Elektrostal. In 2005, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company. In January 2011, Mr Kryukov moved to the position of Vice President for Technical Development at ROSATOM's TVEL Fuel Company. Three months later he was appointed Director of ROSATOM's Directorate for Nuclear and Radiation Safety. Mr Kryukov has been Director for Public Policy on Radioactive Waste, Spent Nuclear Fuel and Nuclear Decommissioning at ROSATOM since November 2012.
