Alexander Lokshin

Background

Alexander Lokshin was born on October 11, 1957 in Chita. In 1980, he graduated from the Kalinin Polytechnic Institute in Leningrad with a degree in Thermophysics. Mr Lokshin began his career at Smolensk NPP (Desnogorsk, Smolensk Region) in 1980 as an engineer, where he worked until 1996 in a number of engineering positions. In 1996–1998, he held management positions with the General Directorate and Commerce Department at Rosenergoatom. Within eight years, from 1998 till 2006, his career in Rosenergoatom evolved from First Deputy Director for Marketing, Economics and Commerce to Director of Smolensk NPP, a subsidiary of Rosenergoatom. In 2006–2008, Mr Lokshin held the office of Deputy CEO and Acting CEO of Rosenergoatom. In June 2008, he joined ROSATOM where he served as Deputy CEO until January 2010 and then was appointed Director of the Nuclear Power Directorate. In April 2011, he was promoted to the position of First Deputy CEO while remaining Director of the Nuclear Power Directorate. Since November 2012, Mr Lokshin has been First Deputy CEO for Operations Management at ROSATOM.
